Week by Week Pregnancy 9 - 10 Weeks
During this period, your baby continues to grow rapidly and reaches the size of a grape seed. It is now called a foetus instead of an embryo. All your baby's major organs are already formed and the process of ossification begins. The fingers and toes become visible and the tiny joints begin to move, but these movements cannot yet be felt by the mother.
For mums-to-be, these weeks can be a period when symptoms such as nausea and cravings continue. As the uterus begins to expand, there may be a slight feeling of pressure in the lower abdomen. At the same time, changes in the skin, especially acne and shine on the face, can be seen under the influence of hormones.
