The age of first menstruation (menarche) can be waited until the age of 16 if secondary sex characteristics, i.e. breast development and hair growth, have occurred.

If a girl without breast development and hair growth does not menstruate until the age of 14, a detailed hormone examination and ultrasonography should be performed.

With the increase in the consumption of artificial and packaged foods, early puberty has become very common in girls. Unnatural foods such as chicken, sausage, salami and unseasonal vegetables and fruits are not recommended in children's diets. These foods can trigger early puberty.

After menstruation begins, complaints such as menstrual irregularities and painful menstruation may develop. Such complaints should be evaluated with a detailed gynecological examination, ultrasonography and hormone tests.
