Week by Week Pregnancy 28 - 30 Weeks

During these weeks, your baby is about the size of a pineapple. As the brain continues to develop rapidly, the brain folds become more prominent. During this period, the baby can react more to the mother's voice and light. As the subcutaneous fat tissue increases, the baby's skin appears less wrinkled.

The expectant mother begins to prepare for birth during these weeks. Irregular uterine contractions known as Braxton Hicks contractions may occur. These contractions help prepare your uterus for labour. Also, some mums may experience sleep problems during this period. Sleeping on your side and using supportive pillows can help you sleep more comfortably during this period.
