Week by Week Pregnancy 31 - 32 Weeks

During these weeks, your baby has grown to about the size of a squash. The lungs and digestive system are almost fully developed, and the baby now has the capacity to survive outside the womb. Your baby’s movements are stronger and more regular, but as space in the uterus becomes limited, these movements may sometimes cause discomfort.

For the expectant mother, this period marks the beginning of intense preparation for childbirth. As the baby tries to move into the birth position, there may be pressure felt in the pelvic area. Additionally, final prenatal check-ups are conducted, and birth plans are reviewed. Yoga and breathing exercises can be beneficial during this time to help with relaxation.
